Have you ever been so tired that you nod off any moment where you’re faced with a combination of warm sunlight and a moving vehicle? That was the space that I was in this past week. And I don’t discriminate, train, bus, car, plane, any chance for some shut- eye? I am so there.
June has flown by in the blink of an eye, and in two short weeks I’ve managed to go to a conference in Dallas, squeeze in a trip across the pond, and write 3 new decks for leadership workshops. Don’t ask me how, but apparently, from the lack of sleep, you can imagine how I am managing all the things. If you feel like you’re balancing the motivation to keep chugging along or throw on a bikini, and hit the Central Park sheep’s meadow for some sun bathing, I am right there with you. One thing I can tell you though is that when motivation goes away, the annoyingly strong habits I have built over the years show up and take over.

Mood after a week of transatlantic travel, a sleep deficit and stolen packages.
I am humanly incapable of sleeping in, or leaving an inbox with more that essential messages unread before bed. Calling home is non-negotiable. Moving my body, no matter where I am, matters, even if it means it looks like I am manically pacing across the airport terminal.
While I am dealing with life, as many of us are, there’s also so many questions I have. The world is a scary place right now. Peaceful protests, an impending war, tariffs making my plain black coffee cost $5?! Oh, and did I mention there is a mail thief in my building that keeps stealing my packages? The world is going through it. Yet there are so many beautiful things to be thankful for. The promotion at work, the new client, the I miss you, welcome home, the I sent this because I think of you messages without words, just memes. They all matter. You matter.
