Hey love,

There is something about the Oscars that always brings things back into perspective. It is easy to get caught up in who wins, yet the real reminder is simpler than that: getting there already means something worked. Years of effort, doubt, consistency, and quiet belief all led to that moment. The nomination is not the consolation prize. It is the proof.

This weekend in Austin felt very similar. Hosting an intimate coffee talk at SXSW with Gigi, attending Create & Culture's Supper Club and Future Summit, hanging out with the girls at the Female Quotient Lounge, and having dinner with the Entreprenistas. I was surrounded by founders and operators having real, honest conversations. I took a moment on my walk back to the apartment to stop and look around. My life has changed so much in such a short amount of time, not because I am doing something differently, but because I just keep going. I keep showing up. When people say "Minding Her Own Business, oh, I love your newsletter," that is when it hit me. It is working. They see me. They see us.

These were rooms I once thought were far away. Not impossible, exactly, just not close enough to touch. Now I am here.

The truth is, we tend to place our dreams at a distance. We tell ourselves they will take longer, cost more, or belong to someone else who somehow has more figured out. Still, we keep going. We keep building, showing up, doing the work on the days it feels invisible. Then one day, you look around and realize you are already there.

That is the part we do not talk about enough. The arrival. The quiet moment of recognizing that the thing you were moving toward is now the room you are standing in.

Winning matters. Recognition matters. Being in the room, being considered, being seen: that already means your work is going somewhere. Do not wait for the trophy to let yourself feel it.

This is not just about the Oscars. It is about all of it.
